Email and Virus Protection
Start the
Outlook Express by double-clicking it on your desktop. Go to
Tools--->Accounts Click on the
Mail Tab and then click Add... then Mail. Type in your
Name in the Display name field: (It might already be
there if you just configured the news service but you
can change it if you want) Click Next. Put a dot
next to I already have an email address that I'd like to
use. Then type in your email address. It might already
be there. Click Next. You should
select POP3 as the incoming mail server. Type in pop.industryinet.com
as the Incoming mail (POP3) server: Type in smtp.industryinet.com
or as the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: (Make sure you do
not transpose the p and the t) Click Next. For Account
Name, type in your username also know as login ID.
example: your email address is johndoe@industryinet.com
therefore your POP account is johndoe. Type in your
password. Make sure Caps Locks keys are off. Must be in
Lowercase. Click Next. Click
Finish. You should
be back at the Internet Accounts page. To add
additional email accounts for yourself just do the same
process over. If you are done, click Close. You can
check all mail for all accounts You can access the news groups servers by entering this information into your news reader:
news1.industryinet.com primary news server
news2.industryinet.com secondary news server
news-bin.industryinet.com binaries only - primary server
news-bin2.industryinet.com binaries only - secondary server
These servers seem to offer an enhanced listing of newsgroups in addition to those on our previous service, plus there's an alternate should either go off line.
You have full access to the uncensored content of these news servers and can download up to 350Mb per day per
server.
